Luke 37272
What this means is that although your phone can connect to your Chromecast, your Chromecast cannot connect to your Emby Server. Is this your Emby Server, or someone else's server? Is the connection over http or https?
igeoorge 26
This is my emby server. it's https. Used by browser Google Chrome latest.
igeoorge 26
So is it a problem with chromecast?
Luke 37272
What kind of certificate? Sounds like Chromecast is rejecting the certificate. You need to make sure to use an SSL certificate that Chromecast trusts.
igeoorge 26
I use a Cloudflare certificate. You know? Would you recommend another?

pir8radio 1293
The public facing side is using a Cloudflare Cert, they are good certs. I have not had any clients not like them yet. I'll retest with chromecast. or @@igeoorge can click my avatar and login to my test server, try my server with his chromecast. igeoorge 26
So the problem is not with the certificate? Because the browser works great, I really don't see any apparent problems. Have you had this photo issue on your chromecast?

Have you had this photo issue on your chromecast? Don't know for sure yet, do you have your domain name set in the emby server settings under advanced/external domain? and secured connection mode set to "handled by reverse proxy" proper "public ports" set to 80 and 443? I don't think that should matter though.. Is your phone or browser you are casting from and chromecast on the same network? igeoorge 26
Yes, the destination server is in "external domain" In secure connection mode is: preferable, but not required. Are these settings correct?
pir8radio 1293
so you are using cloudflare right? you have a domain name server.com (or whatever) that needs to be in "External domain" in the emby settings. not your server IP

pir8radio 1293
Chromecast and used mobile devices are on another network. Should look like this: But see if it works with device and chromecast on the same network? But if you see it in the cast options it will usually be fine.
