Nron007 1 Posted August 1, 2019 Posted August 1, 2019 I would like to run Emby server on a 2008 mac pro. The mac pro has 8 cores (2 x 2.8 GHz Quad Core 45-nm Intel Xeon E5462 (Harpertown/Penryn) processors). It's been upgraded to 16gb of ram. The graphics card has been upgraded to a EVGA GTX 970 SC. I usually have 2 transcoding streams at any given time. The transcoding is primarily TrueHD audio transcoding. Would this be sufficient, as a server, for my needs? Thanks!
Luke 40079 Posted August 1, 2019 Posted August 1, 2019 Hi, what version of MacOS does this run? Emby Server requires 10.12+.
Nron007 1 Posted August 1, 2019 Author Posted August 1, 2019 Hi, thanks for the reply! Because the graphics card was upgraded, it's currently running High Sierra (10.13)
Luke 40079 Posted August 1, 2019 Posted August 1, 2019 Great, it sounds to me like you'll probably be fine with that then.
