Blacklist/Whitelist/Better User Rating Restrictions?

Hello,

 

I've been setting up different users and setting the ratings restriction on my kids (13 and 6). I've found that many of the ratings are lumped together. I don't mind my 13 year-old watching most of our R rated movies (he loves both Predator and Alien), but some of the TV shows we have (Californication, TV-MA, in particular) are a little more sexually explicit than I want him watching.

 

Is there a more "fine-tuned" version of the ratings widget or is there a blacklist/whitelist function I might use to get around this issue?

You can set custom ratings per item in the metadata editor. If you want them to be able to watch Aliens, give it a custom rating of PG-13 or PG. Then edit the user to set what the max rating they can watch for each content type. Make a user for each person in the family for the most control.

Or it might be easier to add a custom rating to the shows in question, (NC-17 or NR I think should have the desired effect)
