"background.jpg" abgelegt.

1. Restart

2. Testordner zu Musikbibliothek hinzugefügt

3. Scan

4. Den neuen Artist über das Frontend aufgerufen (Bibliothek/Albuminterpret) -> keine Bilder (Cover, Hintergrund, Logo)

5. Metadatenmanagement Artist ausgewählt

6. Bearbeite Bilder -> alle Bilder vorhanden (Cover, Hintergrund, Logo)

Hi,

I sent you the log of the whole process per PM (normal & debug log)

1. Restart

2. Added test folder to bibliothek

3. Scan

4. Opened test artist with the frontend (bibliothek/albumartists) -> no pictures available (cover of the artist, background, logo, only albumcober)

5. Open metadatenmanagement and chose test artist

6. Open Edit pictures -> all pictures available (cover of the artist, background, logo)

still almost the same. Now I can add a picture manually, but it is removed during rescan (with picture replacement).

Logs and picture proofs per PM, used version 4.2.0.32

If you included a fix for the bug, it doesn't work for me. Same behavior as 4.2.0.32. Are there any news?

I don't see any problem in your 4.2 log. Try refreshing the metadata on an artist. Can you please go over an example? Thanks.

Refreshig metadata doesn't change anything (Version 4.2.0.40 final).

I did a clean installation on an ubuntu server a music folder containing:

-> ArtistXY

   -> ArtistXY Cover (cover.jpg, background.jp, logo.jpg)

   -> Album1

ArtistXY cover isn't shown after Scan, only embedded Albumcover of Album1.

And this should work, at least I found this feature at the wiki: https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Wiki/wiki/Music-naming

Hi there, can you please go over an example? What music metadata providers are enabled for your music library, and in what order? thanks.

I added pictures of the metadataprovider settings, the folder content und the result of a scan if i add this folder to the libary.

As far as i know, local images for artists aren't supported anymore. Somebody has to change the wiki content.

But the local images are found through the scan and added to the Metadatamanager for my virtual band.

Why not adding it if no other image found through scan at musicbrainz and so on...?

Does that artist exist on music brainz? it's not a real artist, right? Sorry I don't quite understand the problem.

Hi,

Does that artist exist on music brainz?

No

My problem is that the highlighted feature described at the wiki (https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Wiki/wiki/Music-naming) not works for me:

Music Images
Images are supported in both artist and album folders, as well as images embedded within audio files. Below is a table of the supported image file names:

Supported image extensions are jpg, jpeg, png and tbn.

Artist images are not displayed.

@@mmkt, yes, apologies. music artist images in folders are not currently used. It's something we'll look at restoring in a future update. Thanks.
