lucpavot 1
Hi there, I know it's a recurrent issue but I didn't find a solution yet. At this point, my local server is working fine and I can connect. However I can't connect to my server remotely (out of my personal network). The weird thing is that I can connect to the public IP when connected to my personal network, but it doesn't work out of my place. What I have did: Set up the port forwarding (and reboot rooter) Add the firewall's rule to allow 8096 port Turn on/off firewall to see if that affects somehow Any other clue? Thanks! Thanks ! Sure: In-Network Connections: is working properly External Connections: doesn't work: Locate Your External Address: No problem Test Your External Address: Doesn't work out of the network Setup Port Forwarding: Done Verify Public Port: "Error: I could not see your service on 81.57.89.189 on port (8096) The weird thing is that the Public IP (81.57.xx.xxx:8096) actually works when connected on the same wifi, but not out of the network. Solution lucpavot 1 Posted June 17, 2019 Author Solution Share Posted June 17, 2019 I managed to fix it by setting properly a static ip, i.e. specifying a default gateway and it works thank
