Blusky 1
I installed MB3 and it looks like it is working well. I had an issue, self induced, I forgot to uninstall and left running Media Browser v2.6.2.0 R. when I installing MB3. Now on the task bar I have two icons. MB3 and Media Browser Service running from v2.6.2.0 R. Any suggestions on how to fix this without breaking MB3? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Blusky 1
Just uninstall MB 2. Thanks ebb, I uninstalled MB 2 as you said the only thing I noticed is that I no longer have a MB icon in WMC to be able to select my movie files. I am also using an external player , MPC BE. Appreciate the help.
Logos302 86
Might need to reinstall MBC to get the icon back. If supported a repair install might work. I suspect that un-installing MB2 removed the icons. External players still work as before as far as I know, don't use them as lav filter seems to play everything I need/want. Blusky 1
Thanks Logos302 for your help. When I get home today will uninstall MB3 and reinstall to see if I get the icon back. I have not found the settings to setup an external player in MB3? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
ebr 14955
When you say "MB 3" to what are you referring? The server, MBC, something else...?
Blusky 1
I'm sorry, yes the server running on windows 7 pro. Thanks. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
ebr 14955
If all you've installed is the server then you need to install a client. Assuming you want to stay in WMC, that would be MB Classic. You should have a read of this: What is MB and what do I need?
Blusky 1
Thanks for the link Ebr, I read it , great information. For some reason I thought that Media Browser Server and Media Browser classic could not be on the same computer. So what I am missing is to install media Browser classic . Thanks again.
