When you swipe from the left side (or right side) to the middle it`s like you push the back button. So it close the app

My Mi 8 Pro does already have those gestures and it works fine for me.

Have you tried swipping the upper to the left corner.

Yes i tried. I think the different here is, that Google released this update yesterday as a new feature for Android Q. Xiaomi use his own code. When they start to use Android Q it is likely, that they dont use there code anymore.

Sorry, thought it would be the same.

Anyway, Google will need a solution to this as they also use these menus e.g. in the play store.

Will see what happens...

Aren't the Android Q still beta?

But google changed his own apps to the 3 stripes navigation, so im not sure if they change anything

But you can still swip from the left side to also open the menu. ;-)

At least on Android Pie it still works.

€dit: Depending on what you want to access you could also click on your "avatar" in the top right corner.

In case you want to access the dashboard you could do it also there.

unfortunately no, that's the gesture to push the back button.

€dit:Thanks a lot, I did not think that I just have to click on my avatar
