BillOatman 496
I have a child who will be playing a sport in college next year. All the schools in the conference contract out to a place called stretchinternet to stream games live. When you watch via the browser there is an embedded player that streams the video/audio. I am hoping to get this stream into Emby maybe as a m3u so I can watch, or more to the point, record the games. I dumped the page source hoping to find some kind of a stream URI that I could put in a m3u, but all there seems to be is the call to their player with a code which presumably tells them which game to stream. I'll capture and post the web page source during a game soon as that's the only time the page is fully available. But I was hoping someone has had luck with something like this already? The main page is here: https://portal.stretchinternet.com/Brockport/ One of the pages that will have the player, at 11:45 AM Eastern US tomorrow (4/27) is: https://portal.stretchinternet.com/Brockport/portal.htm?eventId=512657&streamType=video Here is to hoping some clever soul has figured this out or has some suggestions, thanks! Luke 37022
You could list out several events in the m3u, that should work.
BillOatman 496
Thanks Luke. You mean something like this: Added support for hosted video From version 2.0.9.7 we added support for hosted video. Just put the links in your M3U in following format: #EXTINF:0,Channel Name Herehttphost://$http-raw=<iframe-source-URL-here>$http-refferer=<base-web-page-URL-here> where <iframe-source-URL-here> and <base-web-page-URL-here> are without triangle brackets. Where the frame-source is the embedded player link from the page I referenced above? Edited April 26, 2019 by BillOatman
Luke 37022
I don't know what that is but I'm referring to the m3u that you add to emby. Can't you edit that?

Yes, in fact I wrote a helper app to create m3u and xmltv files for my IPTV provders sports content. What I don't know is what to put in the m3u file to get at the video stream that is being displayed by the embedded player on their web page. Carlo 4330
That won't work putting scripting in the M3U file. You need to find the exact URL address to the stream itself. This would be the same stream the embedded player uses. With a bit of playing around in Chrome Debug window you can find the stream. HOWEVER, this stream could be different for every event which would make your job a bit more involved. That site is "small" and dedicated to sports in your area. You could try to reach out to them and ask for the actual stream or ask them to publish the streams alongside the online player as they would have nothing to loose by doing this, since they are publishing the videos publicly anyway. Just tell them in the email you would prefer to view the sports match directly on your TV via your Roku or Android TV device and these require the stream address. Don't go into details about using Emby or any other recording software, just keep it simple and to the point of publishing the stream URL.
