Proxxee 0
They're in the same household. They mostly just watch reruns of old sitcoms and single-camera shows. They have 4k FTV sticks so I wouldn't need to do any transcoding on my end (at least I dont think I would) and I have a 400/20 connection which would be more than enough to serve up even my full 25mbps remuxes. I'm just wanting to be sure that 2-3 people all streaming from my server wouldnt overload my connection or CPU in any way.
arche 176
Do you have any information on your server hardware?
Sammy 738
Your internet speed has nothing to do with sharing on your local network. Sent from my SM-G960U1 using Tapatalk
Proxxee 0
Do you have any information on your server hardware? It's an old gaming PC I built re-purposed as a media center. - FX 8350 @ 4GHz - 12GB RAM - Windows 10 Pro and Emby on 240GB SSD - TV shows, movies, and anime all on different HDDs. The TV show and movie drives are hybrid drives with 8GB of solid state cache. The anime drive is a 5400rpm drive for surveillance. I think its WD Red. None of the drives are older than 3 years - Most of the media is 3-5mbps H265. Edited April 25, 2019 by Proxxee

Proxxee 0
Guess I should've been more detailed. The family members are in the same household but not my household.
