sfnetwork 514
I decided to start fully testing in my live environment replacing MetaBrowser as metadata and images manager. So I'll start doing threads like this to fix/optimize each part that aren't perfect. @@Luke So this one is about the nfo saver. Let's start with movies. See the nfo files and compare them (Meta vs MB) MB: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/5118921/Others/MB-300.nfo Meta: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/5118921/Others/Meta-300.nfo Country is missing (not sure if you actually fetch this in MBS... Plus, there is information in there that could be remove I think... See the results in XBMC Meta: MB Edited May 16, 2014 by sfnetwork
sfnetwork 514
Cool. it's just because it's a field visible in XBMC so it just shows an empty field...
sfnetwork 514
Also. Look at the Plot and outline in MBS one, same... Not sure if it's a provider thing though... Still, no outline -> no outline in nfo... (not the plot duplicated in it). ***Does MBS fetch outlines in the first place? sfnetwork 514
You might want to do the following to clean up nfo as well: -reorder plot and outline after basic movie info (see Meta one). Not a big deal just more structured -Take out the "art" tag and what's in it; useless IMO <art><poster>Z:\Test\Test Movies\300 (2006)\poster.jpg</poster><fanart>Z:\Test\Test Movies\300 (2006)\fanart.jpg</fanart><fanart>Z:\Test\Test Movies\300 (2006)\extrafanart\fanart1.jpg</fanart><fanart>Z:\Test\Test Movies\300 (2006)\extrafanart\fanart2.jpg</fanart></art> As for other stuff like country, it's just not fetched by MBS so not related to XBMC saver specifically. sfnetwork 514
And... If user reidentifies the movie (let, say that, from the 300 example, it should have been 300: rise of an empire), besides the fact that MBS doesn't rename, it doesn't refresh any image... (tried to refresh, rescan, etc...) It should delete all existing and refetch on refresh after reidentification of the movie if different. If this is meant to be a metadata manager, it really should do that... Edited May 16, 2014 by sfnetwork

dc2325 0
Hello, I just found out today that the <set> tag is not output into the nfo file. I know MB3 put the TMDB collection ID in the nfo, however Kodi is not seeing it for putting movie into set, instead it uses the <set> tag. Is it possible to output the collection name to the <set> tag of the nfo as well? If you can fetch the TMDB collection ID, I think you can fetch the name too. For those Kodi users who want to group movie into set, this feature could save them a lot of time from doing it manually.
Luke 37279
we do, although i see it's not always getting pulled from tmdb info. this is fixed for the next release. will require refreshing affected titles.
