JulsPlus 0
Hello, I have been using the same PC for our media server since 2012. I started with WMC and Media Browser and have slowly migrated to Emby Server and NextPVR. I've successfully restored Windows 7 and rebuilt the PC at least 3 times over the past 7 years. Time for a new PC!!!! Okay, maybe not new. Well at least newer, faster, and more disk space. However, I'm wondering if I should try this with Windows 10. Is the latest version of Emby Server (I’m currently using 4.1.0.26) fully tested and compatible with Windows 10? Are there known limitations, issues, or things I should know before making this decision? Perhaps I should just stick with Windows 7 since I know it works. Thoughts, advise, and direction are all greatly appreciated. :-) Thank you, Julie Edited April 20, 2019 by JulsPlus
Happy2Play 8282
From a Windows standpoint it does not matter. When looking as Windows 7 support from MS will end Jan 2020, that is another story. https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/72699-the-end-of-windows-7now-what/
JulsPlus 0
Quick follow-up: I did it and all is working well so far. Windows 10, Emby Server, Sonarr, Couch Potato, and next on my list of things to do is a TV tunner card with the NextPVR plugin. Happy Day, - Juls
