You just called a mechanic on the phone who is 1,000 miles away and said "My car won't start.  What's wrong with it?"  ;)

What, exactly, is the error you are receiving?  A screenshot of the issue would be most helpful.

Sorry newbie and totally lost.

It just says Error , there was an error processing this request.

Screenshots of exactly what is going on (at a couple different steps along the way) would really help.  It is almost impossible to diagnose what is happening from just that error message.  Thanks.

You will probably need logs. Every single error in MBT is "Error: There was an error processing the request". The system does not display any helpful information to the end user. No Error Codes, No explanation of potential issues that can be easily resolved.

Thank you both for your time.

Probably need to play a bit to try and work out how to do logs.

Basic logging is stored in \%appdata\MediaBrowser-Theater\Logs. Should always be there,

For debug logging:

1) Click on your user portrait in the top right corner.

2) Choose Settings off the menu.

3) Select the "Advanced Panel"

4) Check the box for debug logging.

If you can't log into MediaBrowser Theater at all then:

1) open Windows Explorer and type %appdata%\MediaBrowser-Theater\config in the address bar and hit enter.

2) Edit system.xml in your text editor.

3) Change the lin <EnableDebugLevelLogging>false</EnableDebugLevelLogging> to <EnableDebugLevelLogging>true</EnableDebugLevelLogging>

4) Save the file.

5) Try reloading Media Browser Theater.

Debug logs will be held in the same log location as above.
