Clarification on New/Repeat/Live guide tags.

Love that I can see the Live tag in my guide for xmltv channels.  I would like a little clarity on how things work though.

If I have just the Live tag in my xmltv programme entry, I see Repeat and Live tags (kind of impossible I would think :) ) in my guide (Shield and Roku for sure and I believe web as well). If I put New and Live tags in the programme entry, I see New and Live tags in the guide (no Repeat).

Is this a bug, or is the assumption that if a programme is not new, it is a repeat and live is not good enough?

What is the logic behind when the Repeat tag is shown?

I don't think there is much logic at the moment. We're pretty much just trusting the data, so if it has both repeat and live that's why you may see that.

It doesn't have both repeat and live, just live.  It shows repeat on its own unless the "new" tag is also there.  But the web guide behaves differently (better) I just noticed.

With just the Live tag (no repeat tag) in the xmltv file:

1) The android tv guide shows Repeat and Live tags.

2) The Roku guide shows Repeat and Live tags.

3) The web guide, as shown above, displays just the Live tag.

Shouldn't these items be marked "New"?

I guess we'll need logic in the app to never consider a live item a repeat.
