Why not read the current Emby premier licencing terms instead of a two-year-old thread on Reddit?

 

From that link:

Lifetime Term: Lifetime shall mean the entire period in which the respective product, services, and/or features, as indicated below and updated from time to time, are offered for license.

From time to time there's a promo run but not very often. I've had lifetime since this was the MediaBrowser 3.0 beta [MB3.0] about 4 or 5 years ago.
