I rebooted my server with the create new library page open but not yet complete and it has caused some weirdness.

The library DOES appear

  • On the main Emby page under "My Media" for users with access.
  • As a library to grant access for a specific user

The library DOES NOT appear

  • In the Emby Management's library page.

The library has no folders and therefore no content.

Since I can't see it on the management page I can't remove it, assign it folders or change its settings.

Any simple way to remove this ghost library?  I can manually edit a db file if necessary.  If not I have a backup of my emby configuration that is only a few days old I can restore to.

Emby Server is the stable docker version, 4.0.2.0.

I was able to resolve this by creating a folder that matched the name of the ghost library under "<EmbyRootPath>/root/default".

Once I did that the library appeared normally and I was able to delete it.
