Emby theater homepage changed

Hello, for a few days my emby theater has switched automatically to what appears to be TV mode, where it used to be in desktop mode, the homepage allowed me to sidescroll posters(latest media), what I'm seeing now are wallpapers, and thumbnails of random TV Shows and Movies(not recently added media) I also cannot manually change it to desktop mode, as the writing and screen become microscopic, but the format remains the same? Not really a fan of this look, is there any way to change back, its very chaotic to find media especially the latest added.

Hi there, have you tried clicking your user icon in the top right to explore all of the display and home screen settings?

Desktop mode for homepage no longer works(where you can side scroll latest posters), it automatically defaults to TV mode, when choosing desktop mode manually to be the default everything becomes incredibly small, but it stays in TV mode(second pic on imgur above)

Desktop mode has never used the horizontal home screen. It's never been implemented for desktop support.

 

So yes if you set the display mode to desktop, then you can only use the vertical home screen

It was my understanding that desktop mode gave you a horizontal scrolling homepage, if not how can i revert back to the horizontal poster homepage.

You'd have to set the display mode of the app to TV.

I would like the homepage to look like it did previously which was like this https://imgur.com/a/rwVP2bm (the app has already defaulted to tv mode even though im on a desktop, it currently looks like the pics posted in the previous post, which is not what i want my home page to look). I hope this makes it easier to understand what I'm looking for.

It is already set to horizontal, i believe in this layout https://imgur.com/a/rwVP2bm the emby theater app is set to desktop mode(correct me if i'm wrong.) The issue for me is when emby theater updated it changed the default mode to TV mode, manually changing back to desktop mode does not work(it stays in tv mode), it now looks like this on my desktop, https://imgur.com/a/LZPYSYs

I'm only asking about the home page layout. How do I revert back to the layout I was using previously, which is this one https://imgur.com/a/rwVP2bm (this is not tv, horizontal mode.)

Dont worry, restarted the system and it seems to have fixed it, apologies, this was way harder than it needed to be lol...

 

Also desktop mode is broken, as noted above

Try restarting the app after changing to desktop mode.

That doesn't make much sense because the horizontal home screen is never allowed in desktop mode, so you should not be even getting that far. I would make sure you've installed the latest version of the app. You could also try clearing app data by uninstalling and then reinstalling.

To be clear, vertical is what you see in the web app. By using the vertical option, it should look like the web app. so it would look like this:

 

 

which is just like what you said you wanted
