when a server is rebuilt and a server login enabled for emby connect, the android login screens server count gets messed up.
can this be prevented?bfd6b70434ed14071fa755961077c5c6.jpg

maybe a unique identifier that persists accross rebuilds can prevent ...? mac address?

The addition of same server icons.  But I assume the rebuilt server has a new id so the existing ones have to be manually removed.  But there is no way to know which ones are obsolete.

I don't use android but I see this behavior adding and deleting portables.  You can end up with multiple same server entries.

what does "messed up" mean?

multiple icons ...representing old installs presumably..

You can easily click on them and delete them. They are fresh server installations. There's no way to read your mind to know if you want them deleted or continued to be listed separately.

You have to long press on the server you no longer need, and "forget" it.

Seeing as you have 3 servers listed all called the same, you might be better off forgetting all of them and then let the app find the one that is running.

yes thanks for pointers on how to work around,

i must have wrongly assumed that there was not a need to read my mind.

i thought that when a server is registered it could be registered against a unique id of the machine (mac address, guid)

so that new installs would not have to duplicate but update?

you cant have two emby server installs on same pc can you?

Yes, providing they use different ports.
