NNate 10
I have my MPC-HC setup matching what is described in this guide: http://www.avsforum.com/t/1357375/advanced-mpc-hc-setup-guide XYSubfilter is installed and my subtitles work as expected when opening an mkv file through MPC-HC. Right clicking and choosing "filters" in MPC-HC shows me XYSubfilter is running as I expect. When I launch a movie in MBC, it launches MPC-HC, but my subtitles don't work. The XYSubfilter does not show up in the "filters" view. Why does it not work when Media Browser Classic launches MPC-HC for me? I've read through other threads that talk about using xy-VSFilter, but why should I need this too when everything works fine directly through MPC-HC? Thanks! ebr 14930
I'm not sure. Perhaps there is a command line option that needs to be set? You can edit the command line that is used when opening MPC in the external player setup in the configurator.
NNate 10
Hmmm, I took a look at my logs. It looks like the path substitution I put in to get Xbmc Metadata Server and OpenElec to behave is interfering with MB on Windows. How do I have path substitution in place to work for Xbmc Metadata Saver for OpenElec, but not interfere with other functions?
ebr 14930
Correct, it is streaming from the server. I guess the good news is that you couldn't tell it was streaming . I'm not sure about the other issue. The path substitution feature is specifically designed to avoid the problem you have now. You used it instead to make the file references work in a linux file system directly?

You used it instead to make the file references work in a linux file system directly? Well, I did notice some artifacts - especially in dark scenes. I just assumed it was bad Blu-ray mastering... But on the whole, the streaming seemed to be working very well . Yeah, in order tor the Xbmc Metadata Saver Plugin to write the appropriate paths for Xbmc in Linux to understand (in the XBMC .nfo file), I had to use path substitution. This is so the proper fanarts, poster, actor thumbnails work in the XBMC interface. It used to be that this was limited to just the plugin, but then it got moved into the entire MB3 Server. ebr 14930
@@Luke - I guess we need separate settings for the saver vs. playback from clients.
