pcm2a 9
Usage scenario: User has two iptv providers with the Syfy channel on both. User has a series scheduled to record on provider 1 but notices that the provider is down. Currently the user has to either switch the series to "All Channels" and record multiple copies or cancel the series and schedule it again. Steps to reproduce: 1. Have two Syfy channels 2. Schedule one of them to record 3. Go into the series recording and click the Channels drop down Expected result: 4. All matchings channels are listed Actual result: 4. Only the originally picked channel is listed

pgalbavy 6
Maybe a different feature request, but in addition to "All Channels" can "Favourite Channels" be a fixed option in the drop down? My use case (which can also be addressed differently) is I only want recordings on HD channels and have marked them as Favourites so they also appear first in my guide, but I would guess others may also use this for different filtering reasons. I suppose, but the option is intended to only let you select from the channels that the show actually airs on. This could create a situation where someone selects favorite channels even though the show doesn't actually air on a favorite channel, and then come back and complain that the recording "isn't working". pgalbavy 6
True, but in my case - and again, I recognise I'm odd - I eventually want to be able to set up "record this show if it ever comes back on" based on a name only; My old (real) DVR used to allow this and was useful for filling in blanks in series I missed the first time around but is no longer on in the guide. That itself though is another larger thing though.
pcm2a 9
I still have this exact issue and just ran into it last week. I had some iptv changes and had to import a new m3u/epg. This means that all my channels changed. At first glance everything is great because if the Series is set on All Channels then it will find a channel with it and record it. The problem is you cannot PICK the channel anymore. In my case it was picking a regional local channel that is down most of the time so my shows were being missed. My only solution for now was to exclude the guide data for the channel I didn't want it to pick.
