jillybean 2 Posted February 27, 2019 Share Posted February 27, 2019 I have a number of tv shows that have all episodes marked as watched. When I go to these shows I cannot see any of the episodes, and pressing play on the show brings up a red box with the message 'unable to determine items to play'. At this point I see the series description and at the bottom have an option to 'play'. Selecting this brings up the error. I do not see the seasons or any episodes. The only way I can find to get to see the seasons/episodes is to choose to mark the entire series as unplayed. No filters applied. I did try filtering for unplayed but this has the same result. Correct, you have to enter the series and select play all or navigate to season and select a episode. I select the series, but do not see any seasons to select. In the web client I see the word Seasons, but nothing else. If I select 'play' it starts to play the first episode of the first season. Just tested some other fully 'watched' series - with some I can see the seasons but others I cannot (on both the roku and the web client). No differences between the folders etc that I can see. I will remove the library and set it up again so it can do its thing and re-add everything while I am at work. Will check again this evening when I get home and report back. ifignella 12 Posted February 28, 2019 Share Posted February 28, 2019 I sometimes get that error if I play a bunch of episodes continuously (shuffle play) then back out and try to play a different episode. I never really paid attention to the seasons screen so don't know if they were there. Restarting the app always fixed it for me though. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Removing and re-adding the library made no difference so as a test I moved one series that had a problem from one drive to another and re-scanned the library - it then worked as it should. My conclusion was that the database was corrupted. I didn't want to move too many other things around so I removed Emby entirely and set it and the libraries up again.
