Ninko 64
Hi, Is there any way to be able to backup metadata should you need to restore it again but without having to have nfo files stored WITH the video files, for example have them all in their own folder, away from the media files? Thanks
Happy2Play 8356
If you don't write metadata do nfo with media it is only written to the database, so you would have to maintain backups of the Emby-Server folder or at least the \programdata folder. Ninko 64
But that doesn't work as any changes made by the user, for example, changed images don't stick when metadata is refreshed.
Happy2Play 8356
But that doesn't work as any changes made by the user, for example, changed images don't stick when metadata is refreshed. Only time images should change is if you select "replace images" on the Refresh unless there are no images. Emby will always use existing images for a item. Centralized images (not saved with media) are stored in \metadata\library\xx\xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx itemid folder. So the only way to save customization when not saved with media is to ensure the database that contains the original assigned itemid numbers. Otherwise in a new database each item will get a new itemid number and all the old ones get purged.
