Hi,

I have movie in MP4 format, streams such as below:

Stream #0:0(eng): Video: h264 (High) (avc1 / 0x31637661), yuv420p, 1280x690 [SAR 1:1 DAR 128:69], 6479 kb/s, 23.98 fps, 23.98 tbr, 16k tbn, 47.95 tbc (default)
Metadata:
handler_name : VideoHandler
Stream #0:1(pol): Audio: aac (LC) (mp4a / 0x6134706D), 48000 Hz, 5.1, fltp, 341 kb/s (default)
Metadata:
handler_name : SoundHandler
Stream #0:2(eng): Audio: aac (LC) (mp4a / 0x6134706D), 48000 Hz, 5.1, fltp, 341 kb/s

Server is running on ubuntu, everything is up to date (emby, OS).

When i play movie with first audio stream everything works without transcoding, but when i select second audio stream (eng) emby transcode audio even if its in AAC codec. (i have to change permission in server settings to allow that, if i set: Allow audio playback that requires transcoding - no, emby plays always first default stream no matter what is selected (pol or eng). Its only happend on Google Chrome - Windows 10.

When i play movie on iphone - safari webbrowser both streams are played correctly without transcoding ( settings: Allow audio playback that requires transcoding - no).

It is normal behaviour?

Issue is realy easy to reproduce. Is there any way to fix it to play natively all streams on Google Chrome without transcoding?

Hi, yes this is normal. There is no API in chrome to select secondary audio tracks, so the only way we can do it is by converting to make it the default.

Thanks for replay. I lost few hours on ffmpeg trying to encode audio in various way... till i tested player on other system :)

Could you tell me whether in application - google play or in application for LG smart TV multiple audio streams working without transcoding? I have to buy some TV and i want this function working without problem.

Best regards,
