matito 0
Hello First of all, thanks a lot for emby. It is a beautiful product. I have a nvidia shield 2017 and I'm having an issue when I play a video file with internal subtitles using codec subrip. They are not displayed at all on nvidia shield. External subtitles as srt, ass, etc, they are working well. I tested in another android TV device in the same os version as shield tv (android oreo) and I do not have this issue. I also tested in web browser and there is no issue. Can you please contact your development team and check what it happens and fix it ? You can test with several files having internal subtitles with codec subrip and you will see issue. I forced the subtitles and it does not change anything SubtitleTitleEngLangueengCodecSUBRIPDéfautNoForcéOui (yes)ExterneNo not been displayed. Thanks a lot for your help. ebr 14947
Hi. Can we please see log files from an example of this? I have no issue with internal subrip subtitles right now. Thanks. How to Report a Problem
Dizzy49 94
I have a Fire TV, the Pendant one... I suddenly lost Subtitles as well. It was working for me last week. I attached a log. Tried two diff files, and then played it fine on my laptop using the web.

Luke 37166
Ok, NOW I attached a log embyserver.txt This log has lots of playback sessions. Can you please discuss the example, including around what time it occurred? And if there was an ffmpeg log, please attach that too. Thanks. Dizzy49 94
Give me a few and I'll do a test and attach the log so it's the last one, and attach the ffmpeg file
Dizzy49 94
Ok, so the last two files I played, Kerkomosa S01E03 and Grace and Frankie S05E01 should of had subtitles but didn't. They should be the two most recent in the log. I attached the ffmpeg file as well. The one before it is from 5 hours ago, so I'm assuming it has the last few in it. Hope this helps! embyserver.txt ffmpeg-transcode-0cb512eb-6eea-49e5-9564-4c22efa5691f_1.txt
Luke 37166
The server log does not mention Kerkomosa at all. Are you sure this is the right one?
Luke 37166
And the ffmpeg log you attached appears to not be related to the two examples you discussed.
Dizzy49 94
And the ffmpeg log you attached appears to not be related to the two examples you discussed. AHHHH, they were listed alphabetically, not by datetime. I'll get some examples again after I finish this episode. They should be smaller since it's a new day The server log does not mention Kerkomosa at all. Are you sure this is the right one? Sorry,it's Kemurikusa
Dizzy49 94
Well as it turns out the episode of The Passage I was watching jumped backwards at the end. So I have that, as well as Kemurikusa S01E03, and Grace and Frankie S05E01 both with subtitle issues. embyserver.txt ffmpeg-transcode-ba3562dd-d58e-4dc3-9aa8-7cbadecd259b_1.txt ffmpeg-transcode-2159db96-7f4e-4ea5-92d3-111798341026_1.txt ffmpeg-transcode-79367822-24c3-41de-b903-bbfe37e87685_1.txt ffmpeg-transcode-210b35af-9486-4243-b49f-52ebda4b32b8_1.txt ffmpeg-transcode-289527b3-94ee-4a0d-9fa0-dad6b5936aec_1.txt
ebr 14947
Looks like the server is burning in the subs... This may get solved via an end-around in the app with a different sub delivery method (upcoming in a beta) but we should probably still get to the bottom of why the burned in subs aren't showing. ebr 14947
Okay, in your example that you sent the log for, there are two subtitles listed, correct? If you select the second one, does the first one show up?
matito 0
I have two video files, crashing and Camping. They both have one internal subtitle in subrip codec. Subtitle is detected but not displayed. Issue concerns only internal subtitles. Thanks for your help
ebr 14947
I think the latest beta of the app will fix this for you. The log you sent from the app had a video file that had two subtitles - perhaps one was internal and one was external.
