Archos as external player on Shield TV

Hi,

 

I have a Shield TV (7.2) with the latest Emby app and I am now trying to get it to work with Archos. Unfortunately it does not appear in the list of external players. If I turn the "use system path instead of url", it does show up but then I cannot play my videos since they are on a remote server.

 

Anybody succeeded in using Archos with a Shield TV and the Emby app?

 

PS: my goal is have 24p (rate switching) support in an external player. MX player and VLC do not seem to support that, or I could find it ... and Kodi with Emby was real slow and buggy (I tried both the Emby / EmbyCon plugins). I am running out of options ;(

I have the same issue, I can get VLC to trigger hdr on cropped 4k(which emby expoplayer cant), but the refresh rate does not change.
