mrees 6
Hi all, Hoping I can get some help. Since upgrading to v4.0.1.0 I appear to be having issues with transcoding 4k content. When the IOS app is set to auto (which is the default action), playback of 4k content is unwatchable (inside the network and remotely). When the setting is set to something reasonable (1080P 60Mbps), playback is fine. My hardware is fine for 4K as it was working perfectly before upgrading to v4 The interesting part is that when the 4K content is played on an IOS device, the client is trying to direct stream (?!?). Im pretty sure that an iPhone cant handle a full bluray 4K stream. If I adjust the setting to 4K 40Mbps to force a lower quality 4k transcode, it also appears to no longer work, Transcode positions on the server appear to be at least a minute ahead of playback position. But playback continues to stop and start every second or 2. Any ideas to what the issue may be? Playback used to work perfectly when running v3 No hardware or software changes have been made recently Thanks for your help (logs are attached) Regards, Matt Log.txt embyserver.txt

Luke 37253
Try lowering the in-app quality even more so that it does a full transcode. In your log example it is stream copying the original video. thanks.
mrees 6
Thanks Luke Will do. As mentioned when I set it to 1080 30mbps it does transcode without issue. Is it the log that you would like to see for a successful transcode?
