GreyBeard 22 Posted February 4, 2019 Share Posted February 4, 2019 I just picked up a used sever with the following specs, HP Proliant DL380G6 Server Intel Xeon x2 – E553 @ 2.53GHz (4 cores x2)144G RAM8x 3TB SAS (24TB total) 2x 750W PSU 4x 1G Nic I honestly know nothing about Xeon processors other than to know these are older ones. Will they do hardware transcoding with emby? I bid on it at a local electronics recycler on a whim and was quite surprised when I won it for $45.00.... It seems to be running just fine other than being a power hog and noisy as hell until I can replace the fans. How can I tell if emby is transcoding with software or hardware?
