darrenkdean 29
Having posted multiple times, & spent countless days troubleshooting this, I am at a stand still with no solution. Does anyone have a working solution for Offline Sync to a Micro SD Card on an Amazon Fire Tablet running Emby Server 4.0.0.2? Is this issue being worked on or is it officially depricated? I'm not sure whether or not to be patient (because it is being worked on) or to start looking for an alternate solution, but I need this feature for my kids. @Luke Please advise. revengineer 127
This has been an issue for long while now and using an ol version of the app no longer works as a workaround for me. @@Luke I am not asking for an ETA, but I think asking where this is on the priority list is a fair question. I have seen a number of app releases since I first reported the issue but this one has so far not be addressed. So insight is indeed appreciated. revengineer 127
@Luke: Just founds this link: http://www.aftvnews.com/some-apps-like-kodi-cannot-write-to-external-storage-yet-on-fire-os-5/ and this http://www.aftvnews.com/what-this-file-browser-screen-means-and-what-you-should-do-with-it-in-fire-os-5-on-the-amazon-fire-tv/ Emby on Amazon Fire 7 does not ask for the required explicit write permission to the external SD card. Could this be the problem? Edited February 2, 2019 by revengineer

Could this be the problem? Bumping this thread to keep it top of mind. This is a critical feature & it is important that it is restored.
darrenkdean 29
Just checking in for a monthly update. Has there any progress or potential fixes for this issue? @@Luke
darrenkdean 29
Is a fix coming for this? This is a feature I have used for years without issue, up until the server update that changed/broke it all. Is there any device, any version, that will allow you to sync to an external MicroSD card? @@Luke

Luke 37132
There are improvements in the app's beta channel if you'd like to help test those out: https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/76604-android-mobile-3069-new-download-manager/ Thanks.
