JXL2112 7
I did a clean install of 4.x and rescan my different libraries. Everything seemed to go well but I noticed most of the Music Videos have the wrong artist. So I deleted the nfo files and did a full rescan of the metadata offline. It put the same wrong info right back into the nfo files again. Where is it getting this info from?
PenkethBoy 2063
which metadata providers do you have set for you music library? do you have the IMVDb plugin installed? What if any metadata do you have set in the video files? How are you storing your MV - file structure and filenames

Artist > Files or Artist > Album > Files
PenkethBoy 2063
well IMVDB is limited to the "exact name they have" for each video so if you name a video that does not match you wont get any metadata back - and the data they have is limited anyway So i also add metadata to my video files the folder structure i use which works is MVRoot\artist\videoname\videoname.mkv the videoname being what IMVDB has I also add metadata to the file Artist, AlbumArtist, Genre and Title So basically you need to manage your files (names, structure) and make sure your tags are accurate - and that should fix most of your problems Works for me
Guest asrequested
You know what I think would be the best thing to do is, just add musicbrainz as a metadata option. That's what we're actually dealing with. These aren't videos, they are songs that also have a video. All we need is the song metadata. The video is irrelevant. Luke 37153
So it's confirmed the data came from imvdb?
Guest asrequested
So it's confirmed the data came from imvdb? Well, for music video libraries there are only two options. IMVDB and ThemovieDB. So there's only info coming from IMVDB. As we're dealing with music, I would say switch moviedb with musicbrainz.
JXL2112 7
So it's confirmed the data came from imvdb? After re-checking, the ones wrong were from imvdb. So I removed it as a metadata provider.
Luke 37153
Thanks for the feedback. That's why this plugin is no longer pre-installed with new servers.
