SuperMinecraftKid 5 Posted January 22, 2019 Share Posted January 22, 2019 (edited) I'd like to migrate all my user data and such to my FreeNAS server from my Windows 10 server. I've tried to restore a backup via the plugin to no avail. It just spins in circles for eternity, possibly because I haven't bought the emby premiere subscription. The next option that came to mind was to move the programdata folder onto share so I can manually copy from my Win10 programdata folder. Some things I've tried include: sysrc emby_server_data_dir="/mnt/emby-server" mv /var/db/emby-server /mnt/emby-server Again, complete FreeBSD noob here... Thanks in advance! Luke 37118 Posted January 22, 2019 Share Posted January 22, 2019 Hi there, the problem is that the program data folder will contain references to windows folder paths that are not going to be valid on FreeBSD. This could cause problems. When you are switching operating systems I really would suggest a fresh start. You can still use our documented backup procedures for users and user data if you wish: https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Wiki/wiki/Backup But I would just leave it at that and not try to port anything else over.
