xenkw0n 0
If I add any new files to one of my Libraries it will not identify properly and pull down metadata. If I manually identify the files then it works fine. Running Version 4.0.0.
Luke 25799
Hi there, can you please go over an example? thanks.
xenkw0n 0
Recently added a movie and it shows up in the Library. The metadata is not identifying properly even after forcing refresh. If I identify it all of the metadata and images get downloaded. Prior to version 4 it would identify as soon as it was added to the library.
bretswinney 19
I am also seeing this issue Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

cayars 1652
What's being described here is NORMAL right after doing the update. The system hasn't finished ALL the things it needs to do in the background to update the current data already in the database. That is why you're not seeing it update this info automatically. However, if you pick on of those movies and manually match it then it does update because you forced it. Just give it time as it may need to run through a couple of nightly tasks before everything gets back to normal. Not saying this is happening to you but essentially your whole system is refreshing data in a short period of time. You could be getting timeouts or throttled by meta-providers which could require Emby to run certain tasks a couple of times (normal daily schedules) before it gets all the data it needs back for you and starts acting the way it did prior to the update. This is where PATIENCE comes in a bit as the Emby server can only do so much if it can't get the data as fast as it wants/needs. It will keep picking up more and more with each run. This took several runs on one of my servers to fully populate everything.

Luke 25799
We will be getting an update out to resolve this. I apologize for the disruption.
tillithz 1
I am seeing this issue as well as most artwork has been removed and a screenshot of the movie is displayed now. I have to identify manually without the year in the name of the movie. is this something that will revert back after update has finished what its doing? if so it seems silly it would remove artwork already matched. can I trigger the system to put back the artwork it found previously instead of screen shots? Luke 25799
There is an issue of parsing the movie name and year from the file name. We'll be getting an update out to resolve this. Thanks.

xxAmigoxx 0
Emby Server 4.0.1 is currently rolling out to address this issue. Thanks guys. I am seeing this for TV series too. Emby cant automatically identify many tv series folder naming => "Marvels.The.Punisher.S02.720p.WEB.X264-Scene" But Emby can't auto identify the show. I have to manually do it. Version 4.1.1.

Version 4.1.1.0 That would be a season folder not a series folder. Anything outside the supported naming scheme/structure is bound to fail and require manual intervention. https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Wiki/wiki/TV-naming

Luke 25799
No i dont. its the only folder. Currently we require series folders. We'd like to support what you're doing in the future, but we're not there yet.
