I was on version 3.5.x.x and I updated today to 4.0.0.2.  This is on a Synology NAS.  My library and everything converted over fine and I like the updated interface on my PC and IOS device.  I do have an issue on my Sharp Roku TV and my Roku Stick in a different room.  The Emby and Emby Beta apps launch fine and I can see and play the content.

The Issue is I have 100's of movies from different series and collections that I have organized by Folder.  The folder feature appears to be broken with this version on Roku because it worked before.  I have like 100 Adventure Times and I have to scroll through all of those to browse the movies now.  I know there is the Genre, and direct searches but my ability to just browse past what is in the folders and see the rest of the movies is gone.

I can not find a setting anywhere in the dashboard or right on the Roku devices to re-enable Folder View.  Please help.  Is downgrading an option if there is not a solution?

@investindy

Hi, do you see the new Folders tabs in the web app? That's what you'll soon be getting in Roku. It will be available out of the box and will not require any settings. Please let us know if this addresses your concerns. Thanks !

@Luke Once we get rid of the "by letter" view tab in favor of the poster grid alpha picker adding the "folders" view tab can happen. We are close in that regard and just about ready to make that happen. I can add this to the issue tracker as something to tackle next or in the near future. :)

Thank you guys for addressing this issue.  Yes at the top of the web browser interface I see the sorting by Movies, suggestions....FOLDERS.  On the Roku I only have a few of those options such as Genre, suggestions, title.  So when the feature goes live we will have folders back.  YEAH.

Yes. The new features we've added to the Roku app are many. One of the many will be your request for folders back. The others are some that users have complained about. I don't want to let the cat out of the bag on what exactly these new features are. But they are something wonderful.

All of this is being worked on as I speak and we should be able to produce something soon that satisfies everyone. We want you to have your media, your way. Thanks for listening. :)

@speechless / @Luke Is there an ETA when the folder view will be brought back again on the Roku?

Also noticed on my LG TV with the webos the Folder view is now gone there as well....Putting in a request for that one too.

Thanks guys!

Fantastic work devs!  Is there any chance perhaps the new version will be in zip format to enable sideloading? (e.g. https://github.com/M...owser/Emby.Roku )

We cannot be sure.  It may not be too much longer but we also try to keep the beta release as stable as we can.

Thanks.
