revengineer 128
After v4 upgrade my plugins did not update. How do I force that?
nagetech 66
Interested in finding this too. I saw under scheduled tasks that force checking for Emby as well as plugin updates are no longer there.
Luke 37251
You would just browse the plugin catalog and install manually.
Luke 37251
Alternatively if you just wait, then you'll also get your updates.
nagetech 66
Alternatively if you just wait, then you'll also get your updates. Has the function to "force check" for emby and plugin updates under "scheduled tasks" been removed?
Luke 37251
Yes because some people were using it to disable plugin updates altogether, which can lead to things being in a broken state following a server upgrade.
nagetech 66
Ah ok, I thought I was just being blind. Is it possible to have it back in the future Maybe just put a warning if someone disables it so they know what they are getting into it? I found being able to force check for updates to be super handy as sometimes (for whatever reason) Emby wouldn't notify me of any plugin or app updates unless I forced it too. Thanks @@Luke! Luke 37251
It will notify you of updates, I promise, on the front page of the server dashboard.

Happy2Play 8356
You can run the task manually via the api. The task runs at startup also. Line 371: 2019-01-16 16:59:39.983 Info TaskManager: StartupTrigger fired for task: Check for plugin updates
revengineer 128
The issue was that the plugin update did not trigger at emby server startup and I tried multiple time. Eventually I deleted coverart and reinstalled it. Suddenly all other plugins updated automatically. So issue is solved, but I do not understand it. Luke 37251
You may have deleted all of the scheduled task triggers for it in the past. Try deleting this folder under your server's programdata folder /config/ScheduledTasks Then restart the server. Thanks.
