jaimedelano 1
Emby always transcodes any live TV channel whose total bitrate is greater than 1.5 Mbps. It ignores my playback settings (Android mobile app, Emby Theater for Windows): Auto, 720p - 10Mbps, 1080p - 20Mbps, or any other. embyserver.txt
Luke 37332
Hi there, can you please attach the ffmpeg log as well? Thanks.
jaimedelano 1
It seems there is a hard-coded 1.5 mbps limit somewhere. ffmpeg-transcode-b5da9c7c-fec9-4fd9-b5ea-39cace1cbddb.txt
Luke 37332
Hi, looks like the in-app quality setting is set to a low value. Try setting it to something higher. Also check server streaming settings, maybe you configured a remote stream bitrate limit.
jaimedelano 1
In-app quality setting (Auto, 20Mbps, 60Mbps) does not work. There is no remote stream bitrate limit.
Luke 37332
Can you go into the server dashboard, under Playback -> Streaming, and take a screenshot? thanks.

Luke 37332
Can you try clearing all app data, or browsing data if this is the web app? thanks.
jaimedelano 1
No result! I have found a workaround: (1) I edited the channel metadata file at .../cache/mediainfo/<channel id>.json and (2) replaced the video "BitRate" key with a lower (fake) bitrate.
