snake98 10 Posted December 28, 2018 Posted December 28, 2018 (edited) Is there a way to execute program or run an http command to change channels when using Hauppauge pvr 2. Ir blaster sometimes misses, and Directv allows you to use network commands to change the channel. I saw other people or using mediaportal via emby to do this, but that seem like the hard way of doing it. Is this possible to be done via plugin? Edited December 28, 2018 by snake98
Luke 39008 Posted December 28, 2018 Posted December 28, 2018 We don't currently have any native support for this.
jachin99 87 Posted December 28, 2018 Posted December 28, 2018 This is a wild guess here but MAYBE the vera plugin has the ability to do something like that? What exactly are you trying to do? Do you want to use a IR remote to send web commands to your direct tv box, and use emby in betweeen the two to facilitate that communication?

I just want to be able to change channels without using IR blaster that is on the pvr 2. I just to a way to have emby send a command on channel change, example Tell emby to change channel to 26, emby then would send a command(url or run a exe) to change the channel.

The question is does emby allow plugins to be called on channel change events?
