ServerGuy 20
Hoping this has an easy answer. I wasnt able to find documentation for this already so posting a new topic. TVDB which is set to my primary provider for TV episode lists season numbers for Looney Tunes by release year. After adding them into Emby using this format, Emby appears to read part of the season number as part of the episode number. My Folder structure follows this format:\Looney Tunes\Season 1946\Episode 02.avi Anyone have any suggestions so metadata will populate correctly? Here is a link to the episode list on TVDB https://www.thetvdb.com/series/looney-tunes/seasons/all
Deathsquirrel 741
With correct naming I don't have this issue. \\server\share\TV\Looney Tunes\Season 1946\Looney Tunes S1946E02 Baseball Bugs.mkv shows up normally. The episode is listed as '2. Baseball Bugs' in Emby.

Chyron 230
My Folder structure follows this format: \Looney Tunes\Season 1946\Episode 02.avi Anyone have any suggestions so metadata will populate correctly? You should have 1946x02 or s1946e02 in the file name. Usually a program like FileBot will put "Looney Tunes" at the beginning, then the season and episode numbers, then the episode title. So "TV Shows\Looney Tunes\Season 1946\Looney Tunes - 1946x02 - Baseball Bugs.m4v" or "TV Shows\Looney Tunes\Season 1946\1946x02.m4v" would work. See also: https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Wiki/wiki/TV%20naming Episode naming conventions A number of naming conventions are supported: anything_s01e02.ext anything_s1e2.ext anything_s01.e02.ext anything_s01_e02.ext anything_1x02.ext anything_102.ext anything_1x02.ext 02 Episode Name.avi s01e02.avi 1x02.avi EDIT: Looking at that ^, I think even just calling the episode "02.m4v" might work. It's the "Episode 02" that makes Emby think 02 is part of the name rather the number. Edited December 27, 2018 by chyron8472
ServerGuy 20
Adding the season number into the file name resolved the issue. It seems semi-redundant since I have the season number in the parent folder.

It seems semi-redundant since I have the season number in the parent folder. I'm not sure it was the lack of a season number, but rather the word "Episode" that was throwing it off. Similarly if you named the file "Season 1946 Episode 02.m4v" I don't think it would like that either. ServerGuy 20
Which is odd, out of around 4000 episodes, these are the first Ive had to drop the word "Episode" from the file name and add the season number. All other items are named in the (\ShowName\Season##\Episode##) fashion

Yes as it is a unidentified episode do to naming convention (episode 2.avi) Not sure how the query for TMDB is built splitting the season name though. I would guess they only allow 2 digit seasons as series is not by year there. 2018-12-27 12:11:59.554 Debug ProviderManager: Saving C:\Users\Media\Desktop\Videos\TV Shows - nfo\Looney Tunes\Season 1946 to Nfo. 2018-12-27 12:11:59.557 Debug ProviderManager: Saving image to C:\Users\Media\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\programdata\metadata\library\4b\4b149b7939404e95af27c939699ee941\folder.jpg 2018-12-27 12:11:59.588 Debug ProviderManager: Saving image to C:\Users\Media\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\programdata\metadata\library\d7\d7bd3e6342f14e50ac9c614ea13627fa\folder.jpg 2018-12-27 12:11:59.590 Debug App: Running FFProbeProvider for C:\Users\Media\Desktop\Videos\TV Shows - nfo\Looney Tunes\Season 1946\Episode 02.disc 2018-12-27 12:11:59.591 Debug App: Running EpisodeXmlProvider for C:\Users\Media\Desktop\Videos\TV Shows - nfo\Looney Tunes\Season 1946\Episode 02.disc 2018-12-27 12:11:59.591 Debug App: EpisodeXmlProvider returned no metadata for C:\Users\Media\Desktop\Videos\TV Shows - nfo\Looney Tunes\Season 1946\Episode 02.disc 2018-12-27 12:11:59.591 Debug App: Running EpisodeNfoProvider for C:\Users\Media\Desktop\Videos\TV Shows - nfo\Looney Tunes\Season 1946\Episode 02.disc 2018-12-27 12:11:59.591 Debug App: EpisodeNfoProvider returned no metadata for C:\Users\Media\Desktop\Videos\TV Shows - nfo\Looney Tunes\Season 1946\Episode 02.disc 2018-12-27 12:11:59.591 Debug App: Running TvdbEpisodeProvider for C:\Users\Media\Desktop\Videos\TV Shows - nfo\Looney Tunes\Season 1946\Episode 02.disc 2018-12-27 12:11:59.600 Debug App: TvdbEpisodeProvider returned no metadata for C:\Users\Media\Desktop\Videos\TV Shows - nfo\Looney Tunes\Season 1946\Episode 02.disc 2018-12-27 12:11:59.600 Debug App: Running MovieDbEpisodeProvider for C:\Users\Media\Desktop\Videos\TV Shows - nfo\Looney Tunes\Season 1946\Episode 02.disc 2018-12-27 12:11:59.608 Debug ProviderManager: Saving image to C:\Users\Media\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\programdata\metadata\library\36\36829a070b6d4e95a734c4cf09ac4a6c\folder.jpg 2018-12-27 12:11:59.625 Debug ProviderManager: Saving image to C:\Users\Media\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\programdata\metadata\library\77\77c542ce67a1410cad529308fc18a890\folder.jpg 2018-12-27 12:11:59.626 Debug Skia: Opening C:\Users\Media\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\programdata\metadata\library\4b\4b149b7939404e95af27c939699ee941\folder.jpg for decoding without forceCleanBitmap 2018-12-27 12:11:59.655 Debug Skia: Opening C:\Users\Media\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\programdata\metadata\library\d7\d7bd3e6342f14e50ac9c614ea13627fa\folder.jpg for decoding without forceCleanBitmap 2018-12-27 12:11:59.662 Debug Skia: Opening C:\Users\Media\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\programdata\metadata\library\77\77c542ce67a1410cad529308fc18a890\folder.jpg for decoding without forceCleanBitmap 2018-12-27 12:11:59.678 Debug HttpResultFactory: Transmit file C:\Users\Media\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\programdata\cache\images\resized-images\a\a5952317-ce2e-d974-9316-b8f1d54d3f53.webp 2018-12-27 12:11:59.678 Info HttpServer: HTTP Response 200 to ::1. If episode name is changed to a supported naming scheme, it is recognized as a identifiable episode via tvdb. \looney tunes\season 1946\episode 2.avi unidentifiable \looney tunes\season 1946\02.avi identifiable \looney tunes\season 1946\02 episode.avi identifiable Edited December 27, 2018 by Happy2Play

By following the naming wiki and using the show names exactly as listed on TVDB the only issue I've ever had is my own typos.
