Keksebacker 1
Hi at all, Since update to Kodi 18 RC3 + Emby for Kodi 3.1.36a DVDs stored as VIDEO_TS folder wont work anymore. Also the last stable release of Emby for Kodi do not work. A message is shown that the content isn't available anymore. Kodi 17.6 + last Emby stable addon is ok. Server is running on Win 8.1 and Emby Server 3.5.3.0. If the VIDEO_TS folder is packed to *.iso everything is ok, but i really do not want to convert every single DVD. Are there any workarounds? Angelblue05 4130
@@Keksebacker Normal because that changed between your server version and 3.6. Beta is still beta because it only mainly supports 3.6 and the breaking changes that happened since. @@Luke I have a dvd structure to test. But my server will not detect it properly. I'm not sure how to fix it? It's been that way since 3.6.
Luke 37118
Is it a valid DVD structure with a video_ts subfolder?
Angelblue05 4130
Yes. And it was working correctly pre 3.6. Now it’s just detected as a video and does not even see the video_ts in the media info section. When I hit play, it fails, probably due to the container field being empty in the first mediasource. I’m not sure how to make Emby retry to identify the media info. I did a refresh to no avail.

Luke 37118
why is there a video_ts folder at the root though? try deleting that, then run a library scan.

Solution Angelblue05 4130 Posted December 30, 2018 Solution Share Posted December 30, 2018 (edited) Seems dvd playback (direct play that points to the video_ts.ifo file) does not work via plugin path with Leia. It works fine with Krypton. To get them to play, you'll need to transcode or use native playback mode + server 3.6.
