Adding multiple files to and displaying collections

My searching skills seem to be lacking so I will ask these questions directly:

 

Is there a way to select multiple files and add them all at once to a collection?

 

Is there a way to have collections display in line with the movies and hide the contents of the collection? That is I want only one "Thin Man" entry when I am browsing but when I click on that entry I want to see all my "Thin Man" movies.

1.  Using the multi-select tool you can select and add anything on that page to a collection or playlist.  long hold left click
 
2.  That is what "Group items into collections" does.  Locate dependent on sever version.  Stable (Dashboard-Library-Display) Beta (Per Library menu option - next to filters)

Thank you. Now to recreate all the collections I have on Plex.

 

BTW: If I create collections and set the display thereof the way I want under the release version of the server and then at a later date move to the beta will all the collection info, and other stuff for that matter, migrate or will I need to manually update a bunch of stuff after migrating?
