Alan9568 0
Hi, I'm experiencing the "Playback Error: No compatible streams are currently available..." when attempting to play various music tracks via the LG TV app. I use a QNAP NAS to serve the music, and version 3.6.0.76 beta - although the issue has been going on for a while. From what I can tell the playback error does not happen on tracks purchased from iTunes, though does for others, so I'm wondering if tags or similar are the issue - although frankly I'm stumped and would very much appreciate any help - attached is a recent server log. Further evidence: Plex can play all tracks successfully from the LG TV, although I'd like to move to Emby completely The Emby iOS and QNAP Emby apps can play all tracks successfully, with one exception - on all platforms, the Album view displays duplicates of all my albums (this does not happen in other views such as Artists, Album Artists, Songs, etc.). The "first" version of an album includes all tracks, plus a displayed Album Artist and can be played without issue - except on the LG app where it's not an iTunes purchase - while the second album version does not have any tracks, no Album Artist, and hitting the play button results in the "no compatible stream" error Many thanks, Alan. Alan9568 0
Luke, Apologies, as I won’t be back in front of the computer until tomorrow evening to check, though in the meantime I’m more or less certain that the affected tracks were encoded with the DBPoweramp Apple Lossless (ALAC) encoder. Over time, I’ve also used iTunes to convert purchased (AAC?) tracks to Apple Lossless, or simply left other iTunes purchased tracks in their original downloaded format - although again I’d have to go back and clarify which if either or both play back without generating the incompatible error. Luke 37095
Yes that would be helpful as i have a few m4a files for testing but not a large number of them. thanks !
Alan9568 0
OK - looking at typical tracks which the LG can play, they are m4a Purchased AAC files, either encoded by iTunes, or seemingly non-encoded, as that field within the track's "Get Info" property is not displayed. The tracks that the LG cannot play (the significant majority of my library) from what I've seen thus far are m4a Apple Lossless, encoded by dbPoweramp. Would it be helpful to post one of these tracks here via this forum thread?

Alan9568 0
Please see the attached track (I had to zip it as received the "you are not permitted to upload..." error). In the meantime wondered what might be causing the duplicates in the "Albums" view on all platforms for me? The "second" album does not display an album artist, and upon clicking on the album cover, the next page contains no tracks. If I attempt to play the album, the no compatible streams error results. 1-01 Blue Monday (1983 12_ Version).m4a.zip
