Spyderturbo007 19 Posted December 3, 2018 Share Posted December 3, 2018 I'm trying to wrap my head around how Live TV would work when I'm running Emby inside of Kodi? From what I'm reading, if I were to use the Emby app, all I would need to do is buy a HDHomeRun and link it to Emby. But how does that work if I'm just running the Emby plugin for Kodi and not the full Emby app? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

atomicmoon 150 Posted December 4, 2018 Share Posted December 4, 2018 Shows DVR'd through the Emby Live TV function will show up in Kodi as regular media items though. It's not a perfect fix, but it does allow for recorded items to be viewed through Kodi.I personally use Kodi powered by Emby on everything except Live TV. Other players at the moment handle live TV better in my opinion, but Emby is my DVR. For better or worse.Looking forward to the newest server which appears to be focusing a lot on live TV.
