bhajipav 1
Hi. I've recently installed the Emby server on my computer. I've added some DVDs to my library on Emby. When I play back the files, I noticed they play in the browser. I also noticed that the image quality isn't as good as if I were to access the files directly in Kodi, for example. I'm thinking that playing back the files in the Web Browser limits the quality of the video; is this a correct assessment? Assuming that Emby is transcoding to playback the DVDs in the Web Browser, is there a client for Windows 10 in which transcoding doesn't occur? downloader.vip/rightmove/ downloader.vip/kijiji/ downloader.vip/quizlet/ Edited November 15, 2018 by bhajipav

Luke 37262
In the browser they might be transcoding, yes, but Emby Theater can direct play just about everything. You can verify whether transcoding is happening or not by checking the stats for nerds feature inside the video player. Please let us know if this helps. Thanks !
