Transcoding audio

I am using the Emby app on a Samsung smart TV. I have several audio files encoded in Opus format that I'd like to play. However, when I try to load a file, I get an error message stating that there is no compatible audio format. I assume this means that the Samsung smart TV doesn't natively support the Opus codec. However, shouldn't Emby detect that and transcode to a codec that will work? Or is that only the case with video?

Thanks!

Hey @@Luke,

The model number of the television is UN55KU6290FXZA.

The Emby app version is 4.1.

4.1, are you sure? Where are you seeing that? We don't have a version 4.1. Thanks.

Woops! I was looking at the star rating. Where would I look to find the version of the app?

Okay, I think I found it. It looks like it's Emby Theater 1.0.45.

Okay. I'm away from my computer for a little while, but will try to upload one.

FWIW, it's an opus file encoded with the latest version (1.3).
