dawkid 5
Hi, I have started trying to make my music collection work properly in Emby. I have been adding each album in to the music folder one at a time trying to get each one to work. One issue I have now is this. I have finally gotten The Band Greatest Hits to show up with it's metadata but I still can't get The Band to show up in either the Artists or Album Artists categories. It's path is M:\Plex\Music\The Band\The Band Greatest Hits I have gotten the correct MusicBrainz Album, MusicBrainz Artist, and MusicBrainz Release Group ids. Can someone help me to get The Band to show up in Artists and Album Artists categories. Thanks
Luke 37112
Hi there, can you please discuss a specific example? Thanks !
dawkid 5
Thanks for you reply I am not sure what you mean by specific example. I thought it was pretty specific. The band named "The Band" is not showing up in the Artists and Album Artists categories, even though the MusicBrainz Album, MusicBrainz Artist, and MusicBrainz Release Group ids are correct and working. https://musicbrainz.org/artist/8c90ad8c-9150-4c51-a1eb-342232e99d06 Is there more info you need? dawkid 5
I'm not sure what you mean. Is this done in Emby or the files on the computer?
Happy2Play 8296
By a tag tool like MusicBrainz Picard or Mp3tag.
Luke 37112
If you downloaded the audio file from somewhere, it might already be tagged with this information.

dawkid 5
Solved "Are your audio files tagged with Artist and Album Artist values?" Thanks. That worked. It still automatically went to the wrong page in MusicBrainz Artist, but I put in the correct number and it worked OK.
