New channel not filling in program data

A local station in the area recently added a new "subchannel" (if that's the right word), 13.4, a couple of weeks ago.  All the other subchannels for that station (13.1, 13.2, and 13.3) fill in guide/program data just fine.  But this new channel, while the channel is correctly identified, does not populate with guide information  or Programs/Shows.

I had a screen capture of the guide (which I can find now) which showed all other channels nicely filled in in the Guide data except for this one channel -- it had the channel number and logo in the first column at the left, but then a big blank bar where shows should be populating.

Looking in the logs at a recent Guide Refresh I noticed for that one channel (ID 110122), it's the only channel that doesn't have the third line for metadata.  (Just cutting out a small section of the log with a few other channels showing -- I have about 30 channels and all work fine except this new one)

Any ideas on how to fix this or where to look for more info on what might be going on?

Hi.  It sounds like there is no guide data for that channel coming from Schedules Direct.  Since it is new, perhaps they just don't have it yet.

I've contacted SD and submitted a ticket a few days ago.  They said:

"Have you forced a refresh in your application? We've had that sub-channel since 2018-10-31."

Well, yeah, I've been refreshing the Guide several times a day. :-)

Is there a way outside of Emby to find out if there is program data at SD?

If youre using a HDHR, you probably need to scan from the HDHR admin page to pick upthe new channel.  When I switched cable packages I had to rescan in order to get the new channels.  At the very least, go into the admin page and see if the channel is listed.  If it is, then you know it's not the HDHR causing the problem.

I've been to the admin page of all 3 of my HDHR tuners and the channel is showing up just fine in all cases.  I can even watch the channel through Emby.  (yay!)  I've even tried blocking the channel at the tuners, refreshing the guide, then unblocking it and refreshing the guide again, hoping it would "clear" something and it would populate with program data, but no luck.

It's certainly possible that there really isn't anything there yet.  I've replied back to SD asking them to confirm that there's actually program data there to get.  In the meantime, I wanted to check whatever I can to make sure it's not something with Emby on my end.  Thing is...  there's just not much to check -- it should just work.

The mappings should be good.  Emby mapped the channel correctly by itself when the station first appeared.  I've since unmapped it, remapped it, mapped it to the completely wrong station/channel (the program info for that channel showed up in the guide) and remapped i back, but it will not fill in with any Channel 13.4 ION programs.

Attached are images of the mappings showing 13.4 ION and an image of the Guide.  Also I just refreshed the Guide and cut out that section of the log.

Why would every channel show three "Info HttpClient: POST" lines in the log except the one for the channel I'm not seeing program info?

I *highly* suspect that it's something on Schedules Direct's end, Although the one response I've gotten so far said that they've had the info already set up for a few weeks.

So regarding the three entries per channel in the log:  those are log entries of completed info requests for schedules, programs, and metadata?  And Channel 13.4 (ID 110122) didn't make a request for metadata because there wasn't anything returned by the request for programs, or something like that?

I just want to make sure that I've done what I can and everything is set up correctly on my end before I tell SD that something's wrong with their info.  I can control my settings in Emby, but I can't control their info, so I don't want to set them off on a wild goose chase if it was something I screwed up on my end.

I sent another email SD asking them to confirm that there is program data available for this channel and they replied back with a small listing of some shows on that channel.  I went immediately to Emby and refreshed the guide and *now* the program information filled in.  I'm only left to assume they fixed whatever small problem/error/issue might have been there, but everything's working as it should.

Thank you very much for all your help!
