daldana 47
Hi all, I'm just wondering what kind of trouble I might cause if I try to run the latest beta server on the same machine as my stable server is on? I'm anxious to try the new database improvements, but the only spare machine I have is a bit underpowered. Thanks.
Luke 37282
Hi, on windows you could use a portable install. On other platforms there isn't really a supported way.
PenkethBoy 2063
works fine - in windows you need to change the default ports on one server to be able to have them live at the same time so shut down stable - install beta (to another dir) and once installed change the ports numbers under dashboard>advanced to say 9096 and 9920 - save and reboot the beta server now you can bring the stable server back up Edited November 7, 2018 by PenkethBoy
daldana 47
Great! Thank you both! I do have stable installed on a Windows 10 machine, so I'll try the beta now.
Chyron 238
Is there a portable version of the beta for Windows? I'm having trouble finding it.
Happy2Play 8371
Is there a portable version of the beta for Windows? I'm having trouble finding it. You would have to grab it from GitHub as there is only the Stable listed on Download page.
