Jivebunny 1 Posted April 15, 2014 Share Posted April 15, 2014 Hi, I've just upgraded my WHS 2011 server, I then re installed Mediabrowser server and this asked me to accept the firewall settings which I did. However the media browser client on my HTPC will not connect. The only time it connects is when I drop the firewall on my server. It's definitely a firewall issue from what I can see. I did not change any firewall rules directly but deinstalled the Media Browser client on my HTPS, rebooted and then reinstalled the client. When launching the client for the first time the Windows Firewall notification window reappeared - accepted it and it then all worked fine.
