FLAC

I can't play FLAC based audio files on my xbox 360.  Reading there is mention of madflac however according to the forums it only works with 32-bit players.  Assuming as I'm all 64-bit it won't work but not sure what all the core of MB3 is and if it will work.  I do not like installing any codec on my systems so am hesitant unless I know it will work without any issues or minimal and actually work of course.  Any thoughts on the best way to enable FLAC on the xbox with MB3?

Installing the 32-bit/64-bit codec from the below site worked. No artwork though. Just the default musical note icon.

Make sure to install it in window/syswow or wow64... Can't remember now!!

Not in system anyway!!!

Hi Lee.  Can you clarify what you meant?  I installed the above linked codec and it just works.  Though didn't have a choice where it was put.  Was your comment related to not having any cover art or anything for the FLAC files or some other potential issue?

Nope, the codec normally gets installed in the system folder in windows. Which is called syswow or wow64 ...

If it works i wouldn't worry. Foobar will let you insert images into flac files, whether they will work with mediabrowser i don't know??
