mataus 0
Hi, I'm running latest Emby server Version 3.5.3.0 and have two local clients running Emby for Kodi version 3.1.25a. My server is on separate windows PC that is set to sleep after 30mins. Is there any way to configure Kodi/Emby to wake the server when the local clients are turned on / start playback? I have proven the WOL function works as I am able to wake the PC/server via my Android phone Emby app when connected to wi-fi. I've already enabled the WOL in Kodi settings / power saving. Also in Windows 'Power options' advanced settings I have selected 'Prevent idling to sleep' under 'when sharing media'. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. sualfred 677
If you are using the native mode, it works out of the box and Kodi is waking the server. You could use this one: https://kodi.wiki/view/Add-on:Advanced_Wake_On_Lan It's available in the official Kodi repo.
mataus 0
Thanks sualfred! I reset my media library and Emby settings in Kodi then set it to native mode and still no joy...however the Wake on LAN script in official Kodi repo works a treat. This feature seems to work with mysql and Plex, just wondering whether there are any plans to implement WOL in MB server. Now just need to figure out why server goes to sleep during playback?
