Playback Error when theme-music contains soft links

Hello Emby gurus...

 

Running emby-server 3.5.2.0 on Ubuntu 18.04.1, I'm having issues when using soft links for theme music in my Movie library.

 

Example directory structure:

 

    /mnt/media1/Movies/Phenomenon (1996)/

        Phenomenon.mkv

        theme-music/

            01 Change The World.mp3

 

If the theme mp3 song is a real file the Emby Web App can play it while I'm browsing the movie's details but if instead the mp3 is a soft link to the file in my music library (ln -s with relative ../../../Music/... or absolute /mnt/media1/Music/...) then I get the following error and no theme music:

 

Playback Error

No compatible streams are currently available. Please try again later or contact your system administrator for details.

Hi, the .net core runtime that we use doesn't yet fully support links, so at this point we are just waiting on that to improve. See the bottom of here for more details:
