jachin99 82
I'm experimenting with the auto organize plugin but I honestly have no idea how this works. I have one recorded tv folder on my WHS 2011 box, and when my various WMC7 machines record a show, the TV archive service transfers the recordings to that folder. I typically don't record movies so I am trying to set things up for recorded tv for starters. Either way, I have each TV series collapsed into folders titled River monsters for instance, and within most of these series named folders there are more folders named for each season. The recordings themselves are named Series_Network_Year_Date.wtv ( I can change this if neccessary but WMC seems to pickup all the metadata nicely that way). My expectation is that I point the auto organize plugin to my recorded tv folder, and it will nest each episode inside of the appropriate season folder, which has already been created in the folder named appropriately for a given series. I hope that explanation was easy to follow, and should this plugin suit my needs or is some additional work required. Thanks.
Luke 37116
Hi, yes that's exactly what it will do. the files in the watch folder need to be named according to our tv naming guidelines: https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Wiki/wiki/TV%20naming
jachin99 82
Thanks for picking this up Luke but I'm still not having much luck. I have attached a screenshot that will hopefully shed some light on the problem. I have manually renamed a few files, which you can see here, and run the scheduled task but no files are moved. I tried setting up the plugin correctly but I'm sure I'm off somewhere.
Luke 37116
Have you checked the server log?
jachin99 82
Alright, here is a log snippet. It looks like it succeeded for Manifest, but failed for american horror story. American horror story has a - character in the name so maybe that has something to do with it. It looks like it took several tries to get manifest right but maybe I changed something. I have tried to copy the title of an AHS episode and paste it as the folder name but that didnt change much. 2018-09-25 17:20:16.670 Info App: Sorting file G:\ServerFolders\Recorded TV\American Horror Story- Apocalypse S08E03.wtv2018-09-25 17:20:16.670 Warn App: Unable to find series in library matching name American Horror Story- Apocalypse2018-09-25 17:20:16.670 Info App: Sorting file G:\ServerFolders\Recorded TV\Manifest S01E01.wtv2018-09-25 17:20:16.764 Info App: Sorting file G:\ServerFolders\Recorded TV\Manifest S01E01.wtv into series \\homeserver\Recorded TV\Manifest2018-09-25 17:20:16.764 Info App: Sorting file G:\ServerFolders\Recorded TV\Manifest S01E01.wtv to new path \\homeserver\Recorded TV\Manifest\Season 1\Manifest - 0101.wtv2018-09-25 17:21:34.907 Info HttpServer: HTTP GET http://192.168.29.200:8096/emby/system/info/public.
