Lane03 14
Not sure if there's anything Emby can do about this, as I believe this is controlled by the Roku software - but figured it doesn't hurt to ask. Is it possible for Emby to change the vertical position of subtitles when direct playing a file with SRT subs? Please see below link to post I made on the Roku forum for more details. https://forums.roku.com/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=121016 Edited November 10, 2018 by Lane03
Lane03 14
@@speechles, are you tired of me yet? Lol. Pretty sure this is an issue outside your control as I believe this is controlled by the Roku video player but I figured it wouldn't hurt to give it a bump. speechles 1917
SubtitleColor: String: "#FF0000" SubtitleConfig: AssociativeArray: { TrackName : String: "mkv/english1"} SubtitleTracks: Array of AssociativeArray: [{ Language: String: "English" Description: String: "English Subtitles" TrackName: String "english1" },...] We would need to write our own interface for captions to do this and how much time that would take is anyones guess. Using the standard Roku subtitle interface doesn't offer much variation other than what you see above. Lane03 14
Yeah, I kinda figured this was controlled by the Roku as the subtitle placement is exactly the same when playing using RMP. In the grand scheme of things it's not a big deal and maybe one day Roku will place subtitles entirely within the video frame or give us the option to adjust placement. Thanks again.
